# NotchLive

> Private live captions, real-time translated captions, Meeting Intelligence, local transcripts, and voice notes for Mac.

NotchLive is a local-first macOS menu bar app that captions Mac system audio and microphone speech from Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, videos, podcasts, lectures, webinars, and in-person microphone speech. Captions appear in the MacBook notch or a top-center caption bar on non-notch Macs. Speech recognition runs on-device with WhisperKit and CoreML; Meeting Intelligence uses Apple Intelligence on supported Macs to prepare private meeting summaries. NotchLive does not join meetings as a bot and does not provide NotchLive cloud audio transcription.
