Whisper AI transcribes speech in 90+ languages with automatic detection. For best results with non-English audio, start with Small and step up to Medium, Large Turbo Compact, or Large Turbo when you need more accuracy. Translation to 20 languages is available via Apple Translation (requires macOS 15+).
